Frequently Asked Questions About COVID-19

How long should I quarantine if I tested positive or if I was exposed?

The most up to date recommendations regarding quarantine are available on the CDC website. We recommend using the quarantine and isolation calculator. The calculator is found on the following page:

How should I get tested if I have symptoms or if I was exposed?

The most sensitive test is the PCR test. However this is not always the most practical. These take about 2 days for results to return. We have PCR tests available to administer at the office.

Home tests are much less sensitive, so 1 test alone is not sufficient to rule out the virus. We recommend at least 2 tests, days apart, to rule in/out infection.

Rapid tests are available at many urgent care facilities as well and COVID testing sites. If you have concerning symptoms, we recommend getting a PCR test at the same time as a rapid test.

Do you recommend getting the COVID-19 vaccine and boosters?

Where should we get the vaccine?

Unfortunately we do not have vaccines available in the office. Vaccines are available through local pharmacies. Please call your local pharmacy to schedule your vaccine.
